At Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago in Lemont, Illinois[edit]

On Sunday, July 12, 1998 in Chicago, a statue of Swami Vivekananda was installed at the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago in Lemont, Illinois. The statue is on 'Vivekananda Hill', a hillock in the temple compound, which overlooks the main entrance. Shri J.C. Sharma, Consul General of India, Chicago, unveiled the statue at an elaborate ceremony. Swami Atmasthanandaji, the then Vice President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, performed the dedication in the presense of over 2000 devotees and admirers.

The bronze image in a standing pose is 10-foot in height. This is modelled after his photograph taken in Chicago after his appearance at the World's Parliament of Religions in 1893. It is the first statue of Swamiji to be installed in a public place in United States of America.

At Cheluvamba Park, Mysore, India[edit]

Cheluvamba Park is located on way to KRS in Ontikoppal, Mysore. The statue of Swami Vivekananda was installed here to commemmorate the centenary celebrations of Swamiji's visit to Mysore city. The statue was unveiled by Shri K. R. Narayanan, the then president of India. The statue was installed by Citizens' forum and is maintained by Shri Ramakrishna Math, Mysore

At Shri Ramakrishna Vidyashla, Mysore, India[edit]

Shri Ramakrishna Vidyashala is a pre-composite residential school for boys run by Ramakrishna Mission. The statue of Swami Vivekananda in meditative pose is installed at the entrance of Vidyashla.

At Unkal Lake, Hubli, Karnataka, India[edit]

A statue of Swami Vivekananda is installed on a rock in the middle of the Unkal Lake, Hubli. Unkal is the name of a small village between the twin city of Hubli-Dharwad and the Poona-Bangalore National Highway-4 runs besides this lake. There is a park on the bank and is maintained by the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC). The statue was installed by HDMC to commemorate the visit of Swami Vivekananda as a wandering monk in 1892 to Dharwad city.

At Ramakrishna Math, Halasoor, Bangalore, India[edit]

Statue of Swami Vivekananda in meditative pose is installed in front of the temple of Shri Ramakrishna at Halasoor(Ulsoor), Bangalore. The statue is situated in a theme park amidst the statues of various Bhakti Movement saints. Opposite to the statue of Swami Vivekananda, an equally sized statue of Lord Shiva is installed. The statue was unveiled by Shri T. N. Chaturvedi, the then Governor of Karnataka.

At RIMSE, Mysore, India[edit]

A statue of Swami Vivekananda in meditative pose is installed at the entrance of the main temple at Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education, Mysore. The statue is made of marble.

At Dhaka University, Dhaka, Bangladesh[edit]

At Basavanagudi Ramakrishna Chowk, Bangalore, India[edit]

A statue of Swami Vivekananda was installed on 12-Jan-2009, the National Youth Day, at Ramakrishna Chowk, in front of Ramakrishna Math, Basavanagudi, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The statue is housed in a magnificent 'mantap'. The statue was unveiled in the presence of Swami Harshananda by Governor of Karnataka Rameshwar Thakur. Leader of Indian Parliament L. K. Advani was the chief guest.
