English: Routemaster bus RML2596 (reg. JJD 596D) was delivered to London Transport in November 1966. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Cummins) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of London Central, who branded it for use on route 12. It was finally withdrawn from service in November 2004, when route 12 lost its Routemasters. In December it was sold into private ownership as part of the Ensign Bus Routemaster Raffle. In 2008 it was one of several Routemasters bought by Bellamy's Coaches of Nottingham for further public transport use, branded as the Nottingham & District Omnibus, but which only lasted a few months. It later passed to Routemasters For Hire of Carshalton, Surrey, who hire it out, still wearing Nottingham & District names.
