English: Routemaster bus RML2408 (reg. JJD 408D) was delivered to London Transport in January 1966. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Cummins) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of Cowie Leaside (which later became Arriva London North). It was finally withdrawn when London Buses route 38 lost its Routemasters in October 2005. After being passed to dealer Ensignbus in December it was immediately sold to a private buyer in Essex. In April 2009 it returned to Ensign, before in July 2009 being sold to Thisbus.com, who operated it as a private hire vehicle in London and the Home Counties, in former London Transport livery.
