Ragamala

Ragamala is a non-profit organization that strives to advance the traditional performing arts of South Asia through programming, outreach, publications and other efforts. Ragamala's main offering is a series of concerts in the Greater Seattle, Washington area. More information at Ragamala's web site archive copy at the Wayback Machine. Chitra Visweswaran[edit]

Ravikiran[edit]

Sanjeev Abhyankar[edit]

Urmila Nagar[edit]

Kathak dancer Urmila Nagar gave a lecture-demonstration 12 October 2007 at the Ethnic Cultural Theater, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington as part of the Ragamala series. (Nagar lectured and played the harmonium along with two accompanists; young dance students gave the demonstration.)

Abhishek Raghuram[edit]

Rudrakshya[edit]

Rudrakshya are an Odissi dance troupe. Information about the individual performers can be found on the Ragamala site. They performed 27 April 2008 at Interlake High School, Bellevue, Washington.

Tejendra Narayan Majumdar[edit]

Sarod player Tejendra Narayan Majumdar performed at Spring Hall, Eastshore Unitarian Church, Bellevue, Washington 16 May 2008, accompanied by tabla player Anubrata Chatterjee.

The Mishra Brothers[edit]

North Indian vocalists Rajan and Sajan Mishra performed at Kane Hall, University of Washington 14 September 2008. Accompanists included Sanatan Goswami (harmonium) and Subhen Chatterjee (Tablas).
