English: Oradour-sur-Glane was a village in the Limousin region of Vichy France that came under direct German control in 1942. Its name has become infamous because of its destruction in 1944 when almost all of its inhabitants — men, women, and children — were slaughtered by the German Waffen-SS.
Français : Oradour-sur-Glane, village de la Haute-Vienne dans le Limousin, a été le théâtre du massacre perpétré le 10 juin 1944 par la division SS "Das Reich". La quasi-totalité de ses habitants, soit 642 personnes (hommes, femmes et enfants) ont été massacrés. Le village a été incendié et détruit.
Deutsch: Oradour-sur-Glane, eine französische Gemeinde nordöstlich von Bordeaux in der Region Limousin im nordwestlichen Teil des Zentralmassivs, war am 10. Juni 1944 Schauplatz eines Massakers der Waffen-SS.
