Nyctanthes arbor-tristis (Parijat, or Night-flowering Jasmine), the one of two species of the genus Nyctanthes, is a shrub of southern Asia, especial India, Pakistan and Thailand and many other areas. The tree also find mention in Hindu mythology, Mahabharat, Puranas and Srimad Bhagvatam.
