Français : La grotesque fontaine monumentale, de style néo-baroque, qui se trouve au centre du Muristan a été érigée par les grecs orthodoxes à la même époque (1901). Elle marquait le 25ème anniversaire du reigne du sultan Abdul Hamid et semble faite de bric et de broc.
Avant 1900, se trouvait à cet emplacement une église nommée successivement Sainte-Marie-la-Petite puis Sainte-Marie-la-Grande.
