English: Kangla, also known as Kangla Fort or Kangla Palace, is an archaeological, historical and cultural heritage site of the Meitei people of Manipur. It is located in the heart of the Manipuri metropolis of Imphal. Kangla served as the capital city of the ancient realm of Kangleipak civilization, that flourished in the fertile banks of the Imphal River and her tributaries.
