This picture is widely used, but I don't think it's public domain (unfortunately). It's an image from the Ashmolean Museum, http://collections.ashmolean.org/object/372430, who claim copyright of all their images. The source info on here is a bit circular - it claims to be from Wikipedia, and Wikipedia claims the image is from WikiCommons.

I haven't put a formal deletion request in, because I'm not absolutely sure what the copyright status is, but thought I'd flag it up here.
