Italy and the Arab countries have given full and sole recognition to this body, I don't understand why they're in light green --212.9.126.106 23:39, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Italy is not in light green, but if it gives full and sole recognition to this body, it have to be in light green. Greetings, -- JCIV (talk) 09:51, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just reverted. That makes Italy grey, so s.o. pls make it chartreuse again. Only France and the Gulf Council have provided full diplomatic recognition; per the ref I used in my edit summary,[1] Turkish & Italian rec is like US rec. Kwamikagami (talk) 18:52, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Italy[edit]

At least you should color Italy in chartreuse --80.39.179.5 22:38, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Spain[edit]

Please color Spain in green [2]--79.156.49.150 21:19, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Finland[edit]

Finland hasn't recognized Syrian opposition as legal government of Syria. No any mention on Ministry of Foreign issues: http://formin.finland.fi/public/default.aspx?nodeid=17339&contentlan=2&culture=en-US

Finland has habit not to recognize administrations, but only countries.

Wrong version protected[edit]

I have removed this map from English WP, as the protected version appears to be almost completely bogus. Supposedly, dark green indicates diplomatic recognition, but instead it is a hodgepodge of recognition and simple support. Supporting their aspiration to become the govt of Syria is not the same as recognizing them *as* the govt of Syria. Kwamikagami (talk) 23:03, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the confusion revolves around the statement "Participants acknowledge the National Coalition as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people [emphasis mine] and the umbrella organization under which the Syrian opposition are gathering" [3]. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 01:01, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Do we have any ref for which countries have actually revoked recognition of Assad and extended it to the coalition? Kwamikagami (talk) 23:34, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong information[edit]

Not all countries that participated in at least one Friends of Syria conference recognized the Syrian National Coalition as the sole leg imitative representative (like Lebanon and Ukraine, for example). A.h. king (talk) 20:28, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
