I modified the colors to the official ones from [1]. Someone should also remove the black border from the weapon since the official weapon has no visible border in it. /Slarre 16:55, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted the colour change since the current colours for red and gold are the same as those used for all other swedish CoAs on Wikipedia. The official colours apply to the logo only since you cannot be more specific then red and gold in a blasoning. I did however remove the black lines which is something I've intended to do for some time now. /Lokal_Profil 17:37, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can't see any reason why the official true colors shouldn't be used. That other Swedish coas on Commons have other shades is irrelevant since that doesn't need to be the same as the Church of Sweden. Also, the black border around the shield still remains. /Slarre 18:34, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There is not reason to switch to the colours that they are using in there logo since thats not what we're trying to mimic, uniformity throughout wikipedia is more important. For the same reason I left the black external border. From a uniformaty point of view please see Coats of arms of Church of Sweden. /Lokal_Profil 19:41, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course that's what we're trying to mimic, the coa is part of the logo too. What other model should we look at to know what the "real" coa looks like? /Slarre 22:55, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're missing the point. We don't want to mimic the official CoA since for the image to be truly free it needs to be an own interpretation of the blasoning. Yes I could pick the identical colours of the official arms and I could make the crown and cross identical to but then we would have to delete the image as a copyvio. It's the fact that the CoA is defined only by its blasonig, makeing any (heraldicly correct) interpretation of it equally correct, that our opertunity for non-far use image lie. /Lokal_Profil 02:35, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
