It's not Cyrtopodion russowii. In generel, it's not Geckonidae. It's Agamidae, possible young Trapelus sanguinolentus or some Phrynocephalus. Ю. Данилевский (talk) 06:19, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What ? So you mean that the zoo was wrong ? It was clearly written that it's a Cyrtopodion russowii... I'm far from being an expert but I tend to trust a zoo... (no intend to offense you but I have reasons to be skeptical) --TwoWings * to talk or not to talk... 09:06, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly, I not the expert and not the biologist, but read the literature on gerpetology of Central Asia with illustrations. It is not similar on Geckonidae, it is similar on Agamidae. In ruwikipedia against use of this image the professional biologist also has acted. Probably, in a zoo moved animals or something else. Ю. Данилевский (talk) 12:23, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's certainly something to be said about your English.
That aside, this is *NOT* a gecko. More than likely, this is a baby Bearded Dragon. Here is a link to a REAL picture of Cyrtopodion:

As you can see, the two are radically different. Please delete/move/rename this article.--72.197.35.238 14:00, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"There's certainly something to be said about your English" > that kind of observation is not only useless, it's totally stupid ! It shows a total despise and a lack of respect. Haven't you realize that Commons is not limited to people whose mother tongue is English ? And that English is not the supreme language of the world ? Would you find it clever if I told you your French or Spanish was wrong ?
That said, I also have to say your link doesn't show clear differences. The 2 pictures are not taken from the same angle and mine has such a depth of field that it makes it quite difficult to identify clearly the animal. Anyway I don't say it's a gecko or anything. I just say I don't know who to trust because of the informations written in the zoo... I agree it does look similar to this animal, but from memory it didn't have that profile. --TwoWings * to talk or not to talk... 14:43, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
