Summary[edit]

Description
English: Empty pupa of a hoverfly (Syrphidae). This very specimen was made by a larva invested with a ichneumon wasp (Ichneumonidae) of genus Diplazon, that later came out of the pupa instead of the hoverfly so the exit whole is made by the wasp, not by a hoverfly.

Location: Hengelo (Overijssel), Netherlands

Keywords: Pupa, Pupae, Syrphidae, Flowerfly, Flower-fly, Ichneumonidae, parasite

Locatie: Hengelo (Overijssel), Nederland
