Description
English: Stromata of candlesnuff fungus — Xylaria hypoxylon (Xylariaceae, Ascomycota) obtained in culture on agar medium in an Erlenmeyer flask.Stromata are multifunctional organs, complex structures formed of mycelial hyphae. They can be very diverse in shape and size, and are the organs of sexual and asexual sporulation in such genera of Ascomycota as Diatrype, Hypoxylon, Nectria, Xylaria.
Українська: Строми гриба Xylaria hypoxylon (Xylariaceae, Ascomycota) отримані при культивуванні на агаризованому поживному середовищі у колбі Ерленмеєра.Строми —багатофункціональні органи, що є складними міцеліальними сплетіннями. Вони бувають дуже різноманітні за формою та розмірами, і є органами статевих і нестатевих спороношень у таких родів відділу Ascomycota як Diatrype,Hypoxylon, Nectria, Xylaria.
