U.S. LAND OFFICE, Roswell, New Mexico, No. 029631 FINAL PROOF. TESTIMONY OF WITNESS. QUESTION 1. What is your full name, age, and post-office address? ANSWER. Ulysses G. Herron, 34 years old, Roswell, N.M. QUESTION 2. Was your name correctly given in the published notice? ANSWER. It was. QUESTION 3. How long have you known the claimant in this case and the SW ¼ Section 30, Township 13 S., Range 25 E.N.M.P., Meridian, the land embraced in Homestead Entry No. 029631, made at the Roswell. U.S. Land Office? ANSWER. Claimant all of his life, land for seven years. QUESTION 4. Is entryman married? ANSWER. Single. QUESTION 5. Is said tract within the limits of an incorporated town, or used in any way for trade or business? ANSWER. It is not. QUESTION 6. When did entryman settle upon the homestead? ANSWER. April 1915, began work. QUESTION 7. At what date did entryman establish actual residence thereon? ANSWER. May 1st. 1915. QUESTION 8. Have entryman and family resided continuously on the homestead since establishing residence thereon? ANSWER. He has. QUESTION 9. Have entryman and family ever been absent from the homestead since thus establishing residence thereon? ANSWER. He has. QUESTION 10. If there have been any such absences, give the dates covered by such absences, stating who was absent and for what reason. ANSWER. He was absent fro [sic] August 1st 1918 to August 1st 1919 in the U.S. Army service. c 6—4320
