Deutsch: Wappen der Stadt Büren (Westfalen), Kreis Paderborn
„Das Stadtwappen zeigt: in Rot auf einem grünen Dreiberg eine silberne Burg mit drei Zinnentürmen; unter dem breiten Mittelturm in einem offenen Torbogen ein silberner Schild mit einem roten Rautensparren.“
§ 2 Absatz 1 der Hauptsatzung der Stadt Büren

Mit Urkunde vom 16. Januar 1976 hat der Regierungspräsident in Detmold der Stadt Büren die Genehmigung erteilt, das abgebildete Stadtwappen zu führen. Gleichzeitig erhielt die Stadt Büren das Recht auf eine eigene Stadtflagge. Der Rat der Stadt Büren hat nach Abstimmung mit dem Staatsarchiv in Detmold in seiner Sitzung am 13. Juni 1975 die Einführung des oben abgebildeten Wappens beschlossen.

Mit der Einführung des neuen Wappens wird das bisherige Wappen (königliche Genehmigung vom 2.9.1908) ungültig.
