Description
English: Vermont celebrated its 1777 independence from Great Britain at the battle of Bennington with a 2-cent stamp on August 3, 1927. Not one of the original thirteen states, it became the fourteenth. The vignette depicts a Green Mountain Boy dressed in buckskin with a rifle.
