Français : Le Chien de l'hospice, tableau présenté à Paris au Salon de 1810 (numéro 791 du livret), avec la description suivante : "Un de ces chiens dressés pour aller à la recherche des hommes qui périssent où s’égarent en traversant les Alpes, trouva un pauvre petit enfant réfugié sous une voûte de neige, et fit tant par ses caresses, que l’enfant monta sur son dos et fut amené à l’hospice par son intelligent conducteur."
