Locality: U.S. Borax open pit (Boron pit), U.S. Borax Mine (Pacific West Coast Borax; Pacific Coast Borax Co.; Boron Mine; U.S. Borax and Chemical Corp.; Kramer Mine; Baker Mine), Kramer Borate deposit, Boron, Kramer District, Kern Co., California, USA
Dimensions: 85 mm x 65 mm x 65 mm
Ulexite. A knobby mass of intergrown fibrous micro crystals. Countless tons of this material have been mined at Boron, and placed on the borate dumps for long term storage. Few collectors ever collected this material and had the patience to clean the mud out of all the nooks and crannies of the specimens. Scale at bottom of image is an inch with a rule at one cm.

Ulexit. Eine knollige Masse von miteinander verwachsenen, mikrokristallinen Fasern - Länge des Vergleichsmaßstabs am unteren Bildrand beträgt 1 Zoll (= 2,54 cm) mit einer Einkerbung bei einem Zentimeter.
