Het Improviserend Strijkorkest . Tristan Honsinger Nederlands: De Amerikaanse cellist Tristan Honsinger opereert sinds 1978 vanuit Amsterdam met het ICP Orkest. Erik van de Berg schreef in De Volkskrant: 'Zijn composities zijn als een kindertekening, of meer nog als een verhaal uit 'Winnie the Pooh': onbeholpen en ontroerend simpel, maar vol van betekenis voor wie er meer in wil zien.' Het bestaat uit subgroepen die de rijke verscheidenheid van de composities vormgeven via muzikale gesprekken. Dit gebeurt aan de hand van uitgeschreven partituren of met ter plekke gemaakte afspraken of signalen. De zorgvuldig gekozen musici brengen hun muzikale bagage mee: Caraïbische en Zuid-Afrikaanse invloeden, hedendaagse gecomponeerde muziek, jazz, rock, ... Erik van de Berg écrit dans De Volkskrant: 'Ses compositions sont comme des dessins d'enfant, ou plutôt comme une histoire de 'Winnie the Pooh': maladroites et d'une simplicité émouvante, mais pleines de sens pour qui veut y déceler davantage'. Elles se composent de sous-catégories qui donnent forme à la riche diversité des compositions via des conversations musicales. Ceci se passe à l'aide de partitions écrites ou via des conventions ou signaux décidés sur place. Les musiciens soigneusement sélectionnés apportent leur bagage musical : influences des Caraïbes ou d'Afrique du sud, musique contemporaine composée, jazz, rock, ...
