Română: Harta etnică a Transilvaniei, pe baza datelor recensământului habsburgic din anul 1850. Harta reprezintă limitele administrative actuale: judeţe, comune, oraşe. Sunt reprezentate separat persoanele care s-au declarat saşi şi secui. În multe cazuri, secuii au preferat să de declare maghiari. Astfel, secuii din fostele scaune Arieș, Mureș şi Miklósvár (Trei Scaune) s-au declarat de regulă "maghiari". Secuii din fostele scaune Ciuc, Chizd (Trei Scaune), Orbai (Trei Scaune) şi Tileagd (Odorhei) s-au de regulă "secui". Saşii din Biertan s-au declarat "germani". În Braşov, unde la vremea aceea germanii erau majoritari, o parte a saşilor s-a declarat "germani", astfel încât numărul persoanelor declarate "saşi" era mai mic decât cel al românilor, rezultând o majoritate relativă românească. |
