English: Hanging drop slide of an overnight brain heart infusion broth inoculated with Listeria monocytogenes from case 3. In the video the bacteria rotate slowly in and out of focus around a central axis; a characteristic and specific movement pattern referred to as “tumbling motility” (magnification ×400).
