Contrast Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Lymphangiogram in the chest of an individual affected by lymphoedema.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Magnetic Resonance Lymphangiogram (MRL) of the chest in a participant with bilateral upper and lower limb lymphoedema displaying a normal appearing single smooth channelled thoracic duct (solid arrow). This image was acquired with a contrast enhanced T1-weighted sequence by St George's Lymphovascular Research Group after the injection of conventional Gadolinium containing contrast agent in the inguinal lymph nodes. Note the bifurcation of the thoracic duct (dashed arrows); typically the thoracic duct drains only via the left subclavian vein.
