Description

The sixth volume of The Analectic Magazine contains a selection of songs and poetry, anecdotes, news, biography, and engraved illustrations. The volume, which has an early printed example of the nickname "Old Ironsides," includes the "American Navy Chronicle" (pp. 231-257 & 383-399), "The Navy" (pp. 318-333), a register of U.S. naval officers (inserted between pps 344-345), and "The Frigate Constitution/A new song" (pp 415-416).
