Description

The American Coast Pilot gave vital information about navigating the coastline of the United States, and included sailing directions, hazards to navigation, and soundings from Maine to Florida, and served, as the author claimed, to "guide the Mariner through the pathless ocean." This eight edition of the work contains 14 fold out charts. The flyleaf is inscribed "the property of Littleton Reed bought at Boston Feb. 5 1818"
