Summary[edit]

Description This is the decoded cipher (completed January 2021) for the postcards of Helen Petty (1883–1945) to her fiancé Ted Claxton between 1904 and 1905. If using this crib yourself, please note that Helen's handwriting is variable and not always clear, and that although she was fluent with the cipher, she occasionally made errors with it. It is likely that Ted Claxton was the primary creator and updater of the cipher, but that Helen was involved in that process.
