Nederlands: WERKENDAM - Er zijn te veel bijen in de Biesbosch omdat er te veel bijenkasten staan. Staatsbosbeheer vreest dat er straks geen nectar meer is voor zeldzame wilde bijen in het natuurgebied.
Staatsbosbeheer beheert de kasten in de Biesbosch, maar de kasten net buiten het gebied daar hebben ze geen grip op. In het natuurgebied is Staatsbosbeheer gestopt met het uitgeven van vergunningen voor nieuwe kasten. In de gebieden rondom de Biesbosch heeft Staatsbosbeheer geen grip op de situatie. Ook in de Noordwaard bij Werkendam staan veel te veel bijenkasten. Deze staan vaak op particuliere grond of (il)legaal op gebeid van Rijkswaterstaat of van de gemeente. Ook deze bijen verspreiden zich over de Biesbosch waar veel planten in bloei staan. Zo barst het volgens boswachter van Staatsbosbeheer in de Biesbosch, Jacques van der Neut, van de springbalsemien. Deze plant heeft paarse bloemetjes die populair zijn bij bijen, er zit namelijk veel nectar in en bloeit tot oktober. Boswachter Van der Neut, hoopt op een gemeenschappelijk beleid voor de gebieden rondom de Biesbosch. Vooralsnog wordt er geen actie ondernomen in de omliggende gebieden.
