| Description |
English: Supply train waiting by level crossing no 38 An old semaphore signal can be seen at right. Level crossing no 38 is situated in the Limpenhoe marshes between the villages Reedham and Limpenhoe, south-west of Hill Farm.
The line between Reedham and Cantley is closed over the weekend whilst a new track is being laid. Class 66 GBRf diesel locomotive 667912 is waiting by level crossing A38 > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1754184 with its freight, consisting of waggons carrying sand and crushed stone ballast. The men will be working day and night so as not to disrupt rail traffic for any longer than necessary and portable lights positioned along the lineside will illuminate the track at night. |
