Description
Svenska: Spegel i form av en stående oval. Stomme av mahogny, med ett bakåt utfällbart stöd vars kontur är balusterformad, plant och delvis genombrutet. Ett grönt band fäst vid stödet och i en ring på spegelns baksida spärrar stödet när spegeln är uppställd.Spegelramen är av gjuten, ciselerad och förgylld mässing. Den består av en ram runt spegelglaset (som är svagt gröntonat) i form av en hålkäl med inifrån räknat pärlstav, hålkäl med urgröpta partier bildande ett randmönster och 4 ovala rosetter (placerade kl 12,3,6,9), ytterst pärlstav.
Från mitten av ovalens vardera sida går en s-formad volut, omslingrad av akantus, nedåt och utgör ett stöd. Från voluterna sträcks akantusblad mot mitten och håller mitt under spegeln en lagerkransomsluten oval med figurframställning i relief: 3 kvinnofigurer i antik klädnad, den mittersta tycks bli uppvaktad vid sin toilett (Venus?). Ramen har till större delen matt yta mot vilken pärlstavarnas och voluterna blankpolerade partier kontrasterar. På den ovala ramen inslaget 4 stämplar: 1) Smith & Sharps fyrpassformiga stämpel med DSRS, 2) Londons lejon, 3) Londons krönta leopardhuvud, 4) årsstämpeln b (1777).
Upptagen 1811 i Husgerådskammarens inv. i "Hennes Maijt Drottningens Öfre Toilette Rum", marginalanteckning 1821 tillhörig "HKMT", dvs Karl XIV Johan. Upptagen i Klädkammarens inventarium 1850. Deposition till Statens historiska museum 1868, SHM nr 3937, återlämnad jämlikt k. brev 1887-06-17.
