Skotskt broadsword

Description

Svenska: 1845 års inventarium: “1 st. med Turkisk klinga, utstucken med Turkiska Bokstäver. Skotsk fäste med stor parer Bögel av Jern, fodrad med röd plys, brun LäderBalja med jernbeslag. Denna pallasch är tagen i Callabalicen vid Bender af Kon: Karl XIItes LifDrabant, sedermera General Mj: Jonas Adlerstråle o jnköpt från Ryttmästaren G: Adlerstråle och lemnad till Skoklosters Rustkammare, af Hns Exc: Riksmarskalken m.m. H: Grefve Magn: Brahe”.
Korgfäste av stål med inbyggt handskydd av brunt läder, på utsidan överklätt med tunt rött tuskaftat ylletyg. Pyramidformig knapp med rester av gulaktig frans. Räfflad kavel av svärtat trä, löst lindad med ståltråd.
Klinga rak, tvåeggad, flackslipad. Ornering på baspartiet med förgylld, etsad ornering. På båda sidor av basen närmast fästet ett tvärställt liggande fält, vari trofegrupp. Härovanför på utsidan stora astrologiska tecken: månskära med mansprofil, strålande solansikte och stjärna (symbol för planeten Venus) med sex långa spetsiga uddar, mellan tecknen små stjärnor. På insidan kabbalistiska tecken, ovanför dessa en större och två mindre stjärnor, nedanför tecknen tre mindre.
