Remscheid 2009 – 15 Min. Buch und Regie: Alois Döring, Wilhelm Mathies Eine der interessantesten Produktionsstätten im Bergischen Land ist die Feilenfabrik Ehlis. Der Film bietet einen eindrucksvollen Blick in die industrielle Feilenherstellung: Ablängen und Ausstanzen, Angel- und Spitzeschmieden, Schleifen, Schmirgeln, Hiebhauen, Stempeln und Härten, Reinigung der Feilen für den Versand. Auch ein Stück Firmengeschichte wird in Originaltönen des heutigen Firmeninhabers Horst Ehlis lebendig. In einer ehemaligen Feilenhauerstube wird die Feilenbearbeitung von Hand gezeigt, u. a. das Schleifen mit dem Scheuerstein und das Versehen der Hiebe mit Hammer und Beitel. Die Dokumentation spricht auch den Transport zum Fabrikanten mit dem Lieferkorb an. Der Film entstand in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem LVR-Industriemuseum, Schauplatz Solingen und enthält Ausschnitte aus dem 1971 aufgenommenen Film „Die Arbeit der Feilenhauer in der Feilenhauerstube S. Klein“. |
