“Waterloo 11mo 19th 1824
Esteemed Friend
Edward G. Faile I receve’d thine with a list of checks I find that I gave a check to H.U. Plant for $310 which will exactly ballance my a/c it has not been presented, I sent to thee on the 5th 10 mo 21 Ferkins Butter 1Tierce Lin Seed 3 Casks P. Ash 1 Box Sundries $15 Bl [Wax?] which I have never heard whether thee has rec’d them or not they were sent to Pattison & Heart of Troy if they have not come to hand please write to them to send it to thee. also sent to thee p Trotter & Douglas on the 16th 62 Bbls Superfine Flour and this day 1 Bbl Pot Ash 1 Cask Timothy Seed all of Which thee will please sell on my a/c please write me as soon as thee can make sale of this Flour it will probably be in Town in 10 days from this the weather is quite cold and I think I will not be able to get any Wheat off this fall for fear of getting it froze up perhaps. I may send a little more flour in a few days.
