RhB Ge 4/4 and rotary Xrot d clearing snow on the Bernina pass

Summary[edit]

Description
English: RhB Ge 4/4 "Bernina Crocodile" (not to be confused with the RhB Ge 4/4 I-III series) and steam rotary Xrot d 9213 clearing snow on the Bernina pass, Switzerland. This is done as part of a recurring event for photographers. The snow is put on the track using Räumer Xk 9132 by enlarging the clearance (which was common practice when the rotary was in regular use) by a train a few 100m ahead and subsequently removed by the rotary.
Deutsch: Ge 4/4 "Berninakrokodil" (nicht zu verwechseln mit den RhB Ge 4/4 I-III) und die Dampfschneeschleuder Xrot d 9213 der RhB räumen Schnee auf dem Berninapass. Dies wird regelmässig als Event für Fotografen durchgeführt. Der Schnee wird von einem vorausfahrenden Zug mit Räumer Xk 9132 aufs Trasse geschoben indem das Lichtraumprofil vergrössert wird (normaler Vorgang als die Dampfschneeschleuder noch in regelmässigem Einsatz war) und anschliessend von der Schleuder entfernt.
