DescriptionQuantum, AI & Hybrid Cloud converge- The future of computing.webm |
English: We’re at a moment in time where computing is poised to reshape just about every industry, field of study — and even society itself. When leveraging the capabilities of AI, quantum computing, and hybrid cloud in new ways together, the potential for discovering new materials, finding novel drugs and new uses for existing ones, solving science’s hardest problems, and myriad other revelations, will be unlike anything we’ve seen before.
We invite you to watch 'The Fastest Path to Progress,' a new short film where you’ll be introduced to experts working on advancing technology to expedite the pace of science. The film was directed by Scott Dadich, the former creative director and editor-in-chief of Wired, creator of the Emmy nominated Netflix series 'Abstract: The art of Design,' and co-founder and co-CEO of Godfrey Dadich Partners. Dadich received the 2020 National Design Award for Communication Design, the industry’s highest honor, given by Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. This film, The Fastest Path to Progress, explores the emergence of a new era of discovery to meet the growing challenges of an ever-shifting world. 0:00 - Intro 2:32 - What is the era of accelerated discovery? 5:10 - Hybrid cloud 6:29 - AI 8:31 - Quantum computing 10:09 - IBM and Cleveland Clinic are teaming up to accelerate the pace of discovery 12:29 - The role of technology in supercharging the scientific method Learn more about our work in the era of accelerated discovery https://research.ibm.com/blog/what-is-accelerated-discovery Work with us https://research.ibm.com/teams/accelerated-discovery
