With an additional title page, engraved, signed "W.M. sculpsit" (i.e. William Marshall), with imprint "London. Printed for John Benson. 1640". Variant 1: this imprint reads "London. Printed for J. Benson and are sold by W. Ley at Paules-Chayne. 1640."
"Ben: Ionson's execration against Vulcan", "The masque of the gypsies", and "Epigrams to severall noble personages in this kingdome" each have special dated title pages
The first leaf and the last leaf are blank; the second leaf is blank but signed and bears an imprimatur on the verso (M. Clay and dated Febr. 21, 1639 [1640?])

Cataloged
Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in early sheepskin panelled in blind, rebacked in modern brown goatskin. A 20th-century typescript dealer's description is tipped on to the front pastedown. The front and rear endpapers are of printed waste from ESTC S116952 (printed in 1611 by William Stansby for Walter Burre). The second leaf of waste at front is signed "James Wright" and dated 1659. A1 recto (blank) is signed, "James Wright his booke 1659 Ex libris Jacobi Wright". Early marginalia and annotations are present throughout. An early inscription on G12 recto reads, "Randolph, page 64 of his poems hath answered this authors ode to himself p. 135."
