| Description |
English: Ploughed field near Bumpston Bridge. Unlike 1074148, the plougher of this field has made no concessions for the walker. Staverton Footpath 11 cuts straight across the middle of it (left to right in this photo), and it would have been fairly straightforward to run a tractor along the line. The farmer is obliged to restore the path within 14 days, so is maybe within this time limit at present. Unfortunately any field edge alternative is quite inadequate; such a path should be 1.5 metres wide, but about a foot has been left for much of the perimeter, and in places there is none. |
