Español: Vista panorámica del Parque Natural de Peñalara y la cara norte de la alineación montañosa de Cuerda Larga (Sierra de Guadarrama, España). La imagen fue tomada el 30 de abril de 2006 desde la línea de cumbres del macizo de Peñalara, concretamente entre las cimas de la Hermana Mayor y Peñalara. En esta época es muy normal encontrarse grandes neveros y ventisqueros por encima de los 2.000 metros de altura, tal y como se aprecia en la imagen. En el ámbito más lejano de la fotografía se aprecian, de izquierda a derecha, la Loma de Pandasco, las Cabezas de Hierro, el Cerro de Valdemartín, la Bola del Mundo y Siete Picos. Salvo la última montaña, el resto pertenecen a Cuerda Larga. A una menor distancia se pueden ver las lagunas de origen glaciar situadas en la vertiente sureste de Peñalara. La que se ve más grande es la Laguna Grande de Peñalara, aunque también se pueden apreciar otras de menor tamaño como es la Laguna Chica de Peñalara. A la derecha de éstas se ven las cumbres de la Hermana Mayor y la Hermana Menor, algo más lejos. |
