Summary[edit]

Description
English: Oporto tram No. 196 at Heaton Park Tramway terminus near the Boating Lake. This tram was built for Oporto, Portugal, in 1935. It went to Beamish Museum in the northeast of England in 1989. There it was made a totally enclosed car, and also lettered on the sides with the words "Beamish Tramways". It can't really be described as a very authentic Oporto car, but it serves its purpose in giving rides to visitors. In 2010 it came to Heaton Park for the season, and in return they had Leeds 6 on loan. It has now gone back to Beamish.
