Description
English: New York State Lt. Gov. Kathleen C. Hochul (right) hands the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs (DMNA) colors to Maj. Gen. Anthony German (left), making him the 53rd adjutant general of the New York National Guard during achange-of-command ceremony at DMNA headquarters in Latham, on April 7, 2016. German assumed adjutant general duties from Maj. Gen. Patrick Murphy, who became the 52nd adjutant general of New York State in 2010. The adjutant general of New York is responsible to the Governor of New York for the readiness and training of the 10,300 members of the New York Army National Guard, and the 5,600 members of the New York Air National Guard.
