Description
English: NORFOLK, Va. — Intelligence Specialist 1st Class (SW/AW) Wesley Richey was honored as the first Sailor of the Year for Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command (NEIC) on June 5. Joining Richey are Rear Adm. Tony Cothron, Director of Naval Intelligence; Rear Adm. (ret.) Thomas Brooks, former Director of Naval Intelligence; Vice Adm. (ret.) Earl Rectanus, former Director of Naval Intelligence; and Capt. Michael Murray, NEIC commanding officer. NEICs SOY award is named in honor of Cmdr. John “Jack” Graf, a Navy intelligence officer who was killed while trying to escape from his captors in Vietnam in 1970. (U.S. Navy photo by Senior Chief Mass Communication Specialist Dave Nagle.
