Description
English: NZ Division convoy bogged down on water soaked sand at Fuka, Egypt during World War II. The fine dusty clay and sand of the Western Desert rapidly became impervious to water with even a light shower. Rapid flooding delayed the 8th Army's advance from Alamein. Photograph taken circa November 1942 by Captain J White.
