The fishing boat "Early Day" with some of the smaller homes in the area, LOL.

More and more people are buying land around fishing villages, it is starting to take away the rural atmosphere, but nothing stays the same for long.

The French migrated to the area and had come to Nova Scotia between 1750 and 1752. In 1901, the Halifax and Southwestern Railway was built through the area and the railway choose the name French Village for the station. The French Village station, actually located in Tantallon, has been preserved as a cafe beside the recreational trail that follows the old Halifax & Southwestern Railway roadbed.
