Description
English: Illustration of molybdenum cofactor (Moco) biosynthesis in a bacterial cell. Molybdate is transported into the cell through the high-­‐‑affinity molybdate transporter, ModABC. Once in the cell, molybdate combines with molybdopterin to form the molybdenum cofactor. Moco is subsequently inserted into a diverse group of Moco-­‐‑dependent molybdoenzymes
