Double immunolocalization of SYCP3 (green) and γ-H2AX (red). The signal of γ-H2AX unequivocally identifies the sex chromosomes (labeled), in addition with the massive signal of SYCP3. The long arm of the X chromosome is still in contact with the Y chromosome. |
