Note the wonderful display of lichen on this post. This is an organic farm in a collected watershed. No tanalised (treated with copper sulphate /chloride) posts here. The post will rot relatively quickly as the tanalising process inhibits mold and fungal growth. http://www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/environmental-change/lichens/lichens-env.html |
