English: This festival is celebrated in the month of Tamil(Aadi). This video was taken during the Aadi month festival at Sri Periya Mariamman temple in Salem district. This festival will continue to take place over fifteen days. During the festival, devotees will offer prayers to Lord Amman with a variety of prayers. Not only Salem, but entire South India will celebrate this festival with great grandeur
தமிழ்: இந்த திருவிழா தமிழ் மாதம் (ஆடி)யில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இந்த வீடியோ சேலம் மாவட்டம் -அட்டையாம்பட்டி ஸ்ரீ எட்டுப்பட்டி பெரியமாரியம்மன் கோவில் ஆடி மாதம் பண்டிகையின் போது எடுக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த விழா தொடர்ந்து பதினைந்து நாட்கள் மேல் மிக சிறப்பாக நடக்கும். இந்த விழாவில் பக்தர்கள் அம்மனுக்கு பூ மிதித்தல், அலகு குத்துதல், தீ சட்டி எடுத்தல் போன்ற பலவகையான பிராத்தனைகளை நிறைவேற்றுவார்கள். சேலம் மட்டும் அல்லது, ஒட்டுமொத்த தென்னிந்தியாவிலும்{தமிழ்நாடு} மாரியம்மன் திருவிழாவை வெவ்வேறு முறையில் மிக சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படும்
