Summary[edit]

Description
English: View of the chapel of Saints Eloi and Marcouf, one of the chapels in the north transept of the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, the Netherlands. For centuries this chapel was merely a passage between the church and the Koningskapel, the Gothic "Chapelle Royal", funded by King Louis XI of France. The chapel features the Romanesque Revival polychromy and furniture designs that the architect Pierre Cuypers intended for the whole church in the late 19th century, most of which has been removed in the 1980s. The altar is based on the Westwork altar elsewhere in the church. To the left: Saint Eloi; to the right: Saint Marcouf.
