Nederlands: De smalle geweven en aan de onderkant versneden kolom diende als versiering van de achterijde van een kazuifel. Van boven naar beneden worden op een grasveld drie vrouwelijke heiligen in eigentijdse gewaden afgebeeld met hun attributen: Catharina met rad en zwaard in de rechterhand. In de linkerhand draagt ze een gesloten boek. Daaronder Barbara met de toren in haar linkerhand, en de tekst 's barbara'. Onderaan Agnes met het lam in de armen. Tussen Catharina en Barbara het alliantiewapen van Adolf van Kleef (gest. 1448) en zijn tweede echtgenote Maria van Bourgondië (gest. 1463, zie cat. Kleve 1984, p. 365-366, cat. nr. D 29).

Techniek: de figuren zijn ingeweven, de gezichten en aureolen zijn later met zijde in point miniature en gelegde, apart gehechte goud- en zilverdraden op het weefwerk geborduurd. In de figuur van Barbara is het weefsel enigszins gesleten.

Staat: de goudverf van de kettingdraden in het linnenweefsel is bijna overal afgesleten. Ter hoogte van de zoom van het kleed van Agnes is de kolom verknipt.
