| Description |
English: Low Flying Warning Sign Kingston Russell. There appears to be very little in the way of flying facilities or evidence to warrant this warning but there is a large flat field adjacent, which has some large hangar like sheds which house the light aircraftthat fly from here. it is a private airstrip in use since the 60s ,recorded at Littlebredy Farm with three aircraft(PA-15,Citabria,Tiger Moth). It may also be the RNAS Portland Relief Landing Ground,used by helicopters from RNAS Portland from 1972 until closure of that establishment. A Tiger Moth is recorded as having crash landed here in 2005 when its undercarriage collapsed. Not really surprising when you see the state of the airstrip. A sea of mud!
