English: This is the fourth edition of Maxwell's Theory of heat. According to Library Genesis, this is the last edition published while Maxwell was alive. There are numerous later editions.
There are various changes relative to the first edition, notably the inclusion of discussion about w:Maxwell's thermodynamic surface in chapter XII. |
